On Friday, August 5, 2022, the Lord saw fit to call home from labor to reward, Thelma Lucille Sims. Thelma was born October 23, 1951 in Rice, Virginia to Rebecca S. Webster and Hilton Mayton. She was educated in Prince Edward County and attended R.R. Moton High School. She joined Macedonia Baptist Church at an early age. She later joined High Bridge Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health declined. During her life, Thelma was employed in a variety of jobs including, Chicken Shack, Reid’s Café and The Tobacco Factory. She also provided private health care and babysitting services.
