Warren Douglas Hendricks, born on August 17, 1950, in Prince Edward, Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025. He was the beloved son of the late Willie Herman and Mattie Lee Hendricks.

Warren proudly served in the United States Army, receiving an honorable discharge. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Prospect, VA, where he found strength and community throughout his life.

For 18 years, Warren worked at Thomasville Furniture, where he was known for his dedication and work ethic. He had a zest for life, always ready to share a laugh and create lasting memories with his family. Warren enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly mowing the lawn and tinkering with his many gadgets.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Howard Hendricks, Sr., and sisters Mearl Lee Ferguson and Delois McCoy.

Warren is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Denise Darcel Hendricks; his step-son Jerome Ferguson (Ashley) of Appomattox; and his cherished grandchildren Sam, Edy, Clay, and Cade Ferguson, all of Appomattox. He is also survived by his brother Willie Hendricks, Jr. (Maude) of Chesterfield; brother-in-law Augusta McCoy of Appomattox; sisters-in-law Diane Hendricks of Prospect, Nelder Goode, Bernice Jones (Lee), Myrtle Darden (Morris), all of Baltimore, Maryland, and Diann Thomas (Ronn) of Columbia, Maryland, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Warren will be remembered for his kind spirit, love for his family, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of his life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Prospect, VA. Details regarding the service will be shared with family and friends.
