Wayne Edward Wright, was born in Pamplin, Virginia on December 5, 1958 to Joe Pat and Queenie Ford Wright. He peacefully entered eternal life at his residence in Farmville, Virginia on Friday, December 30, 2022. At a very young age, he accepted Christ at Sulphur Spring Baptist Church in Prospect, VA. He later attended his family’s church at the Jesus Center of Refuge and Hope in Appomattox, VA. Wayne received his education through the Prince Edward County Public School System. He began working for Kyanite Mining in Dillwyn, VA in August, 1987. He was employed there for twenty-nine years, retiring in March 2017. Wayne was a hard worker and a very detailed business man. He dearly loved his nieces and nephews and enjoyed taking short trips. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his old school car collection. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by: two brothers, Melvin Wright and James Wright and three sisters, Stephanie Wright, Joyceon Pollard and Mattie Wright. He leaves to cherish his memory: a long time, loving friend, Jane Green of Prospect, VA; one son, Wayne Hunter of Hampden-Sydney, VA; two daughters, Theresa Chambers and Tonia Chambers; six grandchildren, one devoted grandson, Rahsaan West (RaRa), Najay Chambers, Jaylin Chambers, Darryl Chambers, Jaquel Young, and Shaun Bridges; one great-granddaughter, Clementine Davis; two brothers, Arthur Wright (Sharon) and Cal Wright; three sisters, Mabel Jones and Ola Davis both of Pamplin, VA and Mary Stinson of Shreveport, Louisiana; a special family friend, Margie Thornton; close devoted friends, Jimmy Joe and Charles Watkins of Prospect, VA, Stanley Baker of Pamplin, VA, Bobby Jones and Richard Jennings, Jr. of Redhouse, VA, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He will be greatly missed.
