Our beloved, William Earl Johnson, entered into
his eternal home to be with the Lord on Thursday,
October 26, 2023. He was born on November 10, 1934 to the late
David and Lou G. Stanton Johnson of Dillwyn, VA.
At an early age, he accepted Christ and joined Baptist
Union Baptist Church, faithfully loving the Lord until
his death. He retired after 28 years of self-employment. He united in marriage to the late Gladys B. V.
Johnson on April 12, 1952. He was a loving, devoted

husband and a caring father, grandfather, and great-
grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife;

two brothers: Willie K. Johnson and Henry Johnson, Sr.;
and five sisters: Carrie Booker, Aileen Brown, Sallie Lee,
Margie Manns, and Peggy Johnson. His legacy lives on through: four sons and three
daughters, William Franklin, James Larry, Ardell
Virginia, Audrey Jean (Howard), Deborah Ann, Earnest
Anthony (Patricia), and Alexander Junior (Patrice), all of
Dillwyn, VA; two sisters, Catherine Booker and Florine
Brown of Dillwyn, VA; bonus daughter, Janice Johnson
of Dillwyn, VA; best friends, Robert “Moe” and Billy

Lesueur of Dillwyn, VA; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-
one great-grandchildren, and a host of dear nieces,

nephews, cousins, and friends.
