William Lewis Rush, Sr. (affectionately known as “Billy” and “Bo”) 67 born March 10, 1957 went home to be with the Lord on August 31, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents Rufus L. Rush Sr and Martha J. Rush, sisters Joyce Murphy and Virginia Morris, grandsons Jeremiah Byers, Emmanuel Gains and son-in-law Roosevelt Howard.

William worked many years as custodian at Scottsville Elementary School, and nine years at Farmington Country Club. He enjoyed fishing, doing yard work and watching movies. He leaves to cherish loving memories, his wife Quin Rush, two daughters
Kim Howard and Melissa Gaines, two sons William Lewis Rush Jr. and Kirt O. King, two sisters Louise Spivey and Ruby Hedgeman (Curtis), two brothers Tommy Rush (Phyllis) and Rufus Rush, Jr (Deborah), 11
grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life for William Lewis Rush will be on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 2:00pm at the Union Baptist Church, 275 Hardware St. Scottsville, VA 24590.
