Obituary For Wilson Hubert Brown

God opened His gates and welcomed Wilson Hubert Brown to His kingdom and eternal rest on April 26, 2022 from St. Francis Hospital in Midlothian, Virginia. Wilson, affectionately known as “Punch”, was born April 5, 1947 in Cumberland County, VA to Aaron and Hattie Woodson Brown. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Aaron and Hattie Brown; four sisters, Lee Grant, Willie Sims, Bertha Robinson and Clara Eastman; three brothers, John, James and Benjamin Brown and one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Brown. Wilson was educated in the Cumberland County Public School System. He accepted Christ at an early age, was baptized and joined Zion Baptist Church in Dillwyn, VA. He moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and New York, then later returned back to Cumberland, VA. He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Mozelle “Yvonne” Brown. He retired from Holly Farms and Tysons Corporation. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, playing cards, playing baseball, farming, cooking and spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, step-father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory and legacy: his devoted wife of 22 years, Mozelle Yvonne Brown; three loving daughters, Delores Brown-Waters (Michael), Marquita Baker and Monica Baker (Erica); god-daughter, Ebony Baker; three step-sons, Joseph Booker (Melinda), Corey Booker (Syreeta) and Donald Booker (Martwett); four granddaughters, Dominque and Diamond Waters, Shalante Williams and Teosha Moore; twelve stepgrandchildren; two brothers, Aaron Brown, Jr. and Charlie Brown (Sybil); six brothers-inlaw, James Booker (Margaret), Roger Booker (Shannon), Clifton Scott (Dorothy), Stewart Booker (Angela), Kenneth Booker (Tara) and Richard Ingram; one sister-in-law, Julia B. Green; two devoted friends, Robert Brown and Moses Gibson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
