Obituary For Windfred Stanley Henry

Winfred Stanley Henry was born October 19, 1954, in Lynchburg, Virginia to Jake and Evelyn Wilks Henry. He transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on August 28, 2022 from Centra-Lynchburg General Hospital, in Lynchburg, VA. Winfred confessed Christ as his Savior at an early age, was baptized, and became a member of Saint Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen, VA. He received his education through Charlotte County Public Schools. After school, he was employed by Stanley Lane Lumber Company. Winfred was a kind and loyal person, who loved people. He was the family historian, because he had an awesome memory and could remember people and events from the past. Winfred was preceded in death by: his parents, Jake and Evelyn Henry; two siblings, Jake Henry, Jr. and Evelyn Wesley. He leaves to cherish his memory: five sisters; Sophronia Holcomb of Washington, DC, Jane Evans of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Virginia Sarah Wright of Appomattox, VA, Josephine Pettus of Baltimore, MD, and Brenda Martin of Dover, Delaware; three brothers-in-law; Amos Holcomb, John Evans, and Bobby Martin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone; For part of us went with you, the day God called you home... No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, the Chain will link again.
